I have been trying to explore other card making challenges out there on the Internet. One of my fellow collegues Jackie on Critter Sketch Challenge Design Team, is also the Sweet Sketch Wednesday design team. I thought I would try their latest Sketch Challenge. I must have ESP because I just read that Stampavie's Challenge #27 is to use DOTS! The paper I used is from the new Basic Grey Oliver line. It's great for boy/guy/man cards!

After seeing the film, How to Train Your Dragon, I am in love with dragons more than ever! Dustin Pike created more images of his cute dragon engaging in fun activities in the latest High Hopes release. This cute creation uses the following challenges:
High Hopes Challenge #81-Anything Goes
Sketch Saturday #108
C4C42-Paper Flowers

I love Stampavie stamps. First, they stamp so well. There are some acrylic stamps that stretch and seem to loose their shape when moving them from storage to acyrlic block. These stamps don't. They are so sturdy!Second, they are so cute! I just want to cuddle every animal in their images. Just like the bear in this Penny Johnson image! I had a hard time selecting the designer paper for this card. I knew I wanted to use Cosmo Cricket Delovely paper, but it is really bright. So I decided to balance the brightness with white. The Sketch is from Sketch Saturday Challenge #108. I added some paper flowers for the Crazy for Challenges #42. I added a cute little pink butterfly to the flowers to match the butterfly in my image! Scroll down to see some close ups.

I made this cute dream inducer card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge #107. The image is Stampavie Mouse in Hammock by Tina Wenke. I love this stamp because it reminds me of my own hammock sleeper. One of my cats Jar Jar, loves sleeping in my hammock. It's really cute seeing him softly step into it so it doesn't swing too much. I printed the sentiment from my computer and sponged the edge with Papertrey Chai ink from their Vintage touch set. I also sponged Chai ink on the the edge of the main image. I thought the Webster Pages would be a nice back drop with the tree braches. I titled the book that Mr. Mouse is reading Cheese, I Love You!

I have decided that I need to add a little incentive to get more people to follow my blog. I recently ordered some Popcorn the Bear Stamps from the Crafter's Companion website. I accidentally ordered 2 of one of the sets that I am going to use for some Christmas cards. Instead of returning my extra, why not give it away to some lucky follower. So if you would like a chance to win this really cute unmounted set of stamps, all you need to do is become a follower and leave a comment on this post. Feel free to spread the word to those who might like viewing my blog and would love to win! Since I am turning 37 in July, I'll randomly select a winner once I reach that number. I welcome followers from all over the world, and will ship worldwide!

I hope everyone had a wonderful father's day. I spent mine watching my dad tear up his deck and helping where I could. I did cook a nice meal for him on the grill that was on the part of the deck not being ripped up!
This is a new stamp from Kraftin Kimmie called Tubing Miles.
I did this card for two challenges:
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #117
A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #108-Enjoying the Sunshine. This is my first time participating in A Spoon Full of Sugar's Challenge.

I made this card for two challenges, Friday Sketchers #106 and Crazy for Challenges 41. I really love how it turned out except for one thing. I used too much Smooch Illuminate Pearlized Top Coat on the flowers. The flowers look sort of muddy now. Oh Well, lesson learned!

I was super excited last week knowing that High Hopes was having a new release this past Monday. Monday came and went, order placed. Time to wait patiently for my new stamps to arrive. THEN....High Hopes announces that Melissa Jenkins has joined the High Hopes family. High Hopes will be releasing their first MelJen designs with a Blog Hop on Friday June 18! That isnt all, there is going to be a SECOND Dustin Pike release on Friday too! WOW. Click on the Blinkie on the Right Side of my blog to go to the High Hopes blog and find the links to see some sneak peaks by High Hopes Design Team.
This weeks High Hopes Challenge 80 - Colours Blue, Kraft/Brown and Cream. I am working with papers that I have in my huge "Buy and Forgotten About" stash. I added an Ivory Prima Trellis Rose that I painted with sky blue shimmez. The sketch for this card is for this week's Sketch Saturday #107 Challenge

There are two groups in the Critter Sketch Challenge Design Team. The two groups alternate project making duties. It's an off week for me, but it didnt stop me from making something. I am having so much fun with the images of our sponsor, Softpencil Digital Stamps. This week's challenge is a sketch challenge, and to use ribbon. I chose to use one of the Mandala images. I was so focused on the Mandalas, that I forgot to use ribbon.

I am bursting with excitement, High Hopes is having a new release. Sneak peaks for this new release will be starting this Saturday and continue on Sunday with the new release debuting on Monday June 14 with a fun BLOG HOP!!!! I think that one of the new images is a cute dragon with the football (soccer ball). Perfect for the World Cup! GO ENGLAND!
With Fathers day just around the corner in many parts of the world, this week's High Hopes Challenge # 79 is to create a Father's Day Card. I made this card for my brother to give to our dad. Here is the card I am giving my dad. I am using the sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge # 106. I added some pleats for the Crazy for Challenge #40. I printed some St. George's Cross Flags to make my own England brads to give it a World Cup feel! For the inside of the card I cut a shield shape for the sentiment and space for my brother to sign.

Ugh, I have been suffering from a head/chest cold for almost 2 weeks. I have not felt like getting crafty one bit. I finally felt good enough to play with some new Vibez and shimmer mists I ordered a couple of weeks ago. I had been thinking about making a supply of some flowers I saw with this tutorial I found on Betsy Veldman's blog. When I find a need to use one of these cute flowers, I will add a button, brad, or whatever I think it needs to the center and then add it to my project! I am slowly working on my card for this week's High Hopes challenge. I am hoping to have something to post tomorrow.

Challenge #78 over on the High Hopes Blog is "It's a Party" so create a birthday card. I just got chopper relaxing on an inner tube. I thought he would make a cute birthday card. I used the challenge on the Crazy for Challenges blog for the card. I created a tent card so chopper could look like he is riding the waves while seated in his inner tube.
