LOTV Animal Antics

A while ago I decided that every new stamp that I receive, I immediately make a card or other project using the image. Sometimes I can make a card for a challenge, but there are those that I make just so I can use the image. This card is one of those cards. It fits well with the Lili of the Valley Challenge # 95 Animal Antics.

I coloured the cats with my own furry friends.

Lili of the Valley-Angel of Gabriel

Here is my creation for this week's Lili of the Valley Thursday Challenge #61-a sketch by Bev.  I cut the stars out using a star font, sure cuts a lot 2 software and my cricuit machine. I covered the stars with sticky cut sheets I cut out in the same shapes. I covered the pieces with glitter and then attached them to the card using foam tape. I think I want to use the same technique to make a bunch of snowflakes that I can use for future projects!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Lili of the Valley Angel of Gabriel
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, PTI Vintage Touch Ink
Cardstock: SU Lavender Lace, Soft Suede
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Mitten Season
Accessories: May Arts Silk Ribbon, Star Charm from Beads and Charms, SU Chunky Glitter-silver, Singer hand held sewing machine, SU Sticky Sheets (used for glitter on the stars)

LOTV #60

Just as I had myself getting into a regular routine in my cardmaking, Lili of the Valley decides that they are switching back to weekly challenges instead of fortnightly. Oh well, time to break out my excel chart of challenges. Yes, I am that organised. What do you expect from an engineer/program manager?

So I had my card finished for last week's challenge, but didn't take a picture/do a blog post in time. Fortunately this week's challenge (#60) is called Four Seasons. Some of the design team cards' are Christmas cards, so my card is considered part of the four seasons.

This is the not so good picture

Feeling Pink!

My card for the Lili of the Valley Challenge # 58 is an explosion of PINK! I had a great time making this card. I managed to include tons of embellishments that actually look good all together. I am so envious of those who can create cards that have so many details and they dont look like a mish mash of supplies. I added buttons for the Crazy for Challenges # 46.

Lili of the Valley

I received my first group of Lili of the Valley stamps a few weeks ago. They are just so cute! I decided to make my first Lili of the Valley card using the Lili of the Valley Sketch Challenge. This card is for my brothers’ birthday which is in December. My favourite bit about this card, besides the image, is the Leather strap and buckle. You see, in some vintage cars, they use leather and buckles to keep the bonnet (hood) secure to the rest of the car. I thought it was a fitting addition to the vintage style motor car in the image! I added some Tim Holtz metal gears for added charm! This card also fits the Cards for Men challenge #15; Use 1 image, 2 Papers, and three embellishments.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Lili of the Valley Zooming Along, PTI (Papertrey Ink) Sentiment Birthday Basics
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: SU Night of Navy, Gina K Pure Luxury White
Paper: Basic Grey Oliver, SU Chocolate Chip DSP
Accessories: Leather Trim from Michaels, SU Hodge Podge Hardware Ribbon slide, Tim Holtz Metal Gears.
