Critter Challenge #14
This weeks Critter Challenge is a sketch only challenge. It's still May, so the challenge is being sponsored by Doodle Dragon Studios.
Here is the sketch
Here is my take on the sketch.
I flipped it 90 degrees. One of my cousin's wife just had her second baby. My cousin likes VWs so I really wanted to use the Papertrey Ink Enjoy the Ride stamp set and corresponding Die for a card for the young family. I love the vintage look of the Lullaby Lane Webster Pages. I wanted to make sure you could see the fun detail of the paper. Mainly, I wanted to highlight the pram on the bottom lower right. The middle piece of paper has really cute nursury/ children toys. I love the train, rocking horse, tricycle and ducks. The base square of the car is cream and white alphabet blocks. I used the Ric Rac Die from Papertrey Ink to cut vintage cream felt, also from Papertrey Ink. Let me tell you, the felt is so soft and the die cut it so beautifully. It was like a hot knife cutting butter! Finally, I stitched some Basic Grey Buttons onto the card with SU Linen Thread.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink: Enjoy the Ride
Ink: SU Baja Breeze, Soft Suede
Cardstock: SU Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Webster Pages Lullaby Lane
Accessories: Papertrey Ink Ric Rac Die, Enjoy the Ride Die, Papertrey Ink felt, Basic Grey Buttons, SU Linen Thread
Thanks for visiting! Since this is my weekly Critter Challenge blog entry, I'd like to do a special shout out to the Critter Challenge Design Team Members. You guys do such an awesome job leaving comments. I really do appreciate you taking the time to look at my cards and leaving such kind words!

Critter Challenge
On this week’s Critter Challenge Blog, the challenge is a colour challenge. I decided to use a modified version of the sketch I used for my daffodil birthday card. I used the Delightful Dahlia flower stamp set from Papertrey Ink and coloured the flowers in with my copic markers. I really love how copic markers blend with each other giving the flowers much more dimension. I used the coordinating die to creating my own flower embellishment.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink, Delightful Dahlias, birthday basics
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Card Stock: Stampin UP Rich Razzleberry, Suddenly Sage, Regal Rose, Gina K Pure Luxury White
Paper: Stampin Up Cottege Wall
Accessories: SU Regal Rose Ribbon, Papertrey Ink Dalia Die and leaves

Smoochy Jellyfish
For this cute sea creation uses the sketch from Critter Challenge #7. I made one card on Sunday, but didnt like the way it turned out, so I thought I would try the sketch using a bigger card. This is a 5x7 card and uses a new line from TPC Studio called Undersea Adventures. The line is great for all of my High Hopes cute sea creatures. I am sure you are going to be seeing a lot of this paper! I stamped Jack and Jilly on PaperTrey Stampers Choice Select white. I coloured the pair with copic markers and then added Illuminate smooch to make them sparkle. My photography needs some help, otherwise you'd be able to see them in their shiney delight. I sponged Stampin Up Baja Breeze around them. This week's High Hopes challenge is being hosted by Nikki. Her challenge is called Little Gem and she would love to see gems or pearls used on our cards or paper projects. I added a few blue tiny twinkles for the air bubbles for one fish. Very subtle I thought! It's all in the detail.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: High Hopes Jack and Jilly
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, SU Baja Breeze
Cardstock: SU Tangerine Tango, PaperTrey Ink Stampers Choice white, Neehah Solar White, TPC Studio Undersea Adventures
Accessories: SU White Satin Ribbon, Taylored Expressions Tiny Twinkles, Illuminate smooch
