Critter Sketch Challenge Blog Challenge # 29-Fall

This week on the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog we are celebrating Fall. The challenge is that we would like to see your Fall creations. I chose to use a Unity Stamp set called Birdie Inspiration. You can find this set at the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog August sponsor Limelight papercrafts along with a lot of other Unity Stamp sets. I am still on my "using up old products" kick. It's a habit that I really keep going! Fot this card I used some retired SU fall paper.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Unity Birdie Inspiration
Ink: SU Soft Suede
Cardstock: SU Soft Suede, More Mustard
Paper: Retired SU
Accessories: SU Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon (I used the plain side), SU Linen twine, Leaf Charm, Scor pal distressing tool.

Be sure to visit these blogs of a few members of the Critter Sketch Design Team to see their delightful creations for this weeks challenge. I do hope that you are inspired to enter the challenge! I can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for visiting. I love reading your comments.

Sketch Saturday Week #99

The challenge for Sketch Saturday #99 was a bit of a doozy. Until I decided I should use a big quote stamp and frame it with flowers. I used some small roses I won in a blog hop on the critter challenge blog. I love them and now want to get more! I love how the small sentiment I added pertains to the larger quote. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in aged mahogany to stamp and emboss with clear embossing powder. I didnt realise that I could emboss with Tim Holtz Distress inks. How cool is that! (Thanks Lisa for the tip). I am also entering this card into the Cute Card Thursday Challenge # 108 which is Touchy-feely. The flowers make me want to touch the card!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Unity Stamps, Paper Trey Ink Mega Mixed Messages
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Aged Mahogany
Cardstock: Stampin Up Handsome Hunter
Paper: Prima Marketing
Accessories: Mini Roses Brand Unknown, Large Flowers-Prima Flowers, SU Rhinestone Ice Brads, Nestabilities, SU Circle Punches, SU Ribbon Bravo Burgandy

Sketch Saturday

Sketch Saturday Week # 96 Sponsored by The Craft Barn .This week's sketch for Sketch Saturday was a doozy for me. So many elements. How on earth would I create a card that didnt look like a pile of random craft items thrown together that are suppossed to make a card. Thankfully, I was able to turn to one of my latest purchases of the new Webster paper. The paper used here is from the new Life's Portrait line. I used some Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distress Ink on the edges of each piece. For the main circle I used Tattered Rose on the entire piece and then added some old paper ink on the edges. The trim is also from Webster's.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Unity Stamps
Ink: SU Basic Black Craft, Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distress Ink
Card Stock: SU Old Olive
Paper: Webster Paper Life's Portrait
Accessories: SU Build a Brad, PaperTrey Ink Blossom I, II & II Dies, Nestabilites

Thanks for visiting!
